Schweitzer's 2026-27 season brings one of the biggest waves of new guest experiences the mountain has announced in years. Whether you are a first-timer, a night owl, or a couple with a wedding on your mind, there is something new with your name on it.
The headline addition is Private Night Skiing off the Basin Express. After the lifts close, small private groups can take over floodlit terrain for their own after-dark session, complete with private dining and an apres bar. It is a smaller-scale, premium take on night skiing for groups that want the mountain to themselves once the day crowd heads in.
New skiers and riders get the Learn to Ski in 3 package: three days of lift tickets, lessons, and gear, built for true beginners. Complete all three sessions and you earn a Grad Pass with unlimited access to Schweitzer from March through the end of the season, a serious incentive to stick with it. Schweitzer is also introducing a six-week Women's Wednesdays instructional program, giving women a dedicated weekly clinic with instruction geared to their level.
Dining gets two noteworthy additions. The Crow's Bench Cellar Dinner serves a six-course supper with wine selections for groups of up to eight, a private, below-the-surface style evening inside the village. And down at the Lakeview Lodge, a new candy and ice cream shop is debuting, aimed squarely at the kids and the young at heart.
Perhaps the most unexpected addition is the Rowdy Grouse Elopement Package. Available Monday through Thursday, it lets skiers and riders get married on the slopes with a group of up to ten people, the mountain as the chapel and the chairlift as the processional.
With a tentative November 27 season start on the calendar, these programs will be booking through the winter. New offerings tend to fill their prime slots first, so if private night skiing or the Learn to Ski in 3 package sounds like your winter, reserve early and watch the resort's announcements for dates and pricing details.
